South America- Day 21- Santiago/Easter Island

Since we don't get free wifi at the Intercontinental (missin' hiltons already!), we went over to starbucks for breakfast to connect and eat breakfast. Feeling like a sellout, but without being sure of our internet availability on Easter, it had to be done. Tried to get all of our bills paid, then got a jump on our half day in the city. We walked over to a new building which is the tallest in South America. We discovered that it's not actually complete on the inside so we weren't able to go up as planned, but there's a very nice mall in the bottom so we wandered around there for a bit. We then crossed the river and walked through the outdoor sculpture garden, which was really nice and a relaxing way to spend part of the morning.

Headed back toward the hotel to stop by the bank and grab a sandwich, then to the airport. Sadly we hit our third blip of the trip. Our flight ended up being almost four hours delayed, but the one upside is that with the tail wind it wasn't a full six hour flight. We landed after midnight and arrived at the inn, collapsing into bed just after 1 (3am our body time). Oh the things we do to get to Easter!
